#LoveTheDogArt is an exhibition organized by La Roca Village in Barcelona and Las Rozas Village in Madrid to promote emerging talent and welcome the Year of the Dog.
Chinese New Year is a welcome party to the spring full of color, happiness and good intentions. This framework has been the inspiration for #LoveTheDogArt, an outdoor exhibition promoted by La Roca Village and Las Rozas Village to promote the artists of the future within the background of the Year of the Dog.
35 IED students from different fields-Design, Fashion, Visual and Management- have intervened sixty dog ​​sculptures distributed between the two Villages. Once again, they show their commitment to excellence, creativity and innovation. #LoveTheDogArt is not only an original sample of tomorrow’s talent, but an interesting dialogue between East and West in the context of the EU-China Tourism Year. All this happens leaded by the message of Love the moment.
By the way, one of these pieces has escaped to Palau Moja, an important building of La Rambla. People walking through Barcelona’s main street can also be part of this commitment with emerging designers and creatives. This dog is staying in the heart of the Catalan capital until March 4th to wish good luck and happiness to the curious who greet him.
TvBoy, the guest artist
#LoveTheDogArt is a bet of La Roca Village to boost incoming talents. Each of these intervened dogs is unique, a reflection of the personality and style of each author. These young promises have a special guest, street artist TVBoy, who has given an urban pop art personality to two sculptures. This renowned Italian illustrator, who has joined exhibitions with Andy Warhol or Keith Haring, has customized two bulldogs. One of them to be installed at La Roca Village and the other one in Madrid’s Italian Embassy as part of ARCO, the International Fair of Contemporary Art that is held in the capital.
Dog is a loyal and courageous animal that cares about the safety of those around him. That’s why Chinese culture sees 2018 as a perfect year to make new friends and help each other. That is, a moment of cooperation and living each day as if it was the last. Love the moment, love the dog art.
