The Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona, commonly known as MACBA, to be free to bring together locals and visitors.

Visiting MACBA (Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona) on Saturday evenings is free. The measure is the result of an agreement between the museum and the clothing brand UNIQLO, which share the same objective: getting closer to locals and visitors. Since the end of March you can enjoy, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the temporary exhibitions and activities organized during that schedule.

Attendees can also access the Parlem program all last Saturdays of each month. It consists of a series of talks about contemporary artists and intellectuals led by professionals from the sector.  In addition, on May 26th to be celebrated the Great Festival of MACBA, which will bring together all the artists who, throughout the season, have participated in the family program. As for the free exhibitions, they are available on the museum’s website.

Remember that museums in Barcelona are free all first Sundays of the month. Moreover, on May 19th there is The Museum Night, a cultural event in which these centres open their doors until dawn and in which several museum tours, concerts and activities are organized.
